Judith Egger a grandi dans une famille de scientifiques et dans une société où seules les choses qui peuvent être prouvées sont considérées comme importantes. Se rebellant contre cette attitude, elle développe un art axé sur la beauté de l’imperfection et du chaos.
L’artiste vit et travaille à Munich. La force de vie primordiale et son pouvoir de provoquer des changements et des transformations constants est son thème de prédilection.
TRANSMISSION fait partie d’un projet en cours appelé «notes de terrain de la nature» où elle explore la relation complexe entre la société occidentale contemporaine et «la nature».
Judith Egger présentera à l’occasion de cette exposition, une vidéo accompagnée d’objets et dessins associés, documentant l’expérience qu’elle décrit de ces mots : « Un effort secret et nocturne visant à communiquer avec l’état sauvage tout en arpentant les rues de Paris vêtues d’une immense antenne en bois. Des messages seront-ils reçus, des connexions pourraient-elles être établies ?Cette expérience pourrait permettre d’approfondir nos connaissances. »
Documentation of a secretive and nocturnal effort to communicate with « the wild » while walking the streets of Paris dressed as a giant wooden antenna. Will any messages be received, could any connections be made? This experiment might enable further insights.
The exhibition at sometimeStudio will display the video of the experiment as well as related objects and drawings.
Judith Egger (*1973, lives and works in Munich) grew up in a family of scientists and in a society, where only things that can be proven are considered important. She rebelled against that point of view and created art focusing on the beauty of imperfection and chaos. Her favourite subject is the primordial life-force itself and its power to cause constant change and transformation
TRANSMISSION is part of an ongoing project called « field notes from the wild » where she explores the complex relationship between contemporary western society and « the wild ».
